Ron Young is the founder of Knowledge Associates International, who are a global team and he is based at St John’s Innovation Centre, Cambridge U.K.
He specialises in helping individuals, teams and entire organisations in their knowledge transformation to become more knowledge driven organisations and effective knowledge workers. His focus is on using both human knowledge and AI driven platforms methods and tools, working together, to create extraordinary results.
Through conference speaking, webinars, video's, books, papers, in-company management briefings and workshops, he helps organisations understand the potential of these new ways of working and advises on the development of their strategies and plans
Core Capabilities
Ron Young specialises in developing knowledge strategies, policies, governance models, standards, knowledge systems and knowledge driven platforms. He deeply understands the differences between Western and Eastern cultures in the way they conceptualise knowledge (US, European, Middle Eastern and Asian). He was a lead research consultant for the European Commission ‘Know-Net’ and LEVER projects.
He is a passionate, inclusive, and visionary leader who is totally committed to ‘daily practising and demonstrating to others what we preach’ and making a big difference.
Engagements
He advised and assisted the UK DTI Innovation Unit in the production of the UK Government White Paper ‘UK Competitiveness in the Knowledge Driven Economy’ and provides guidance on knowledge assets in government’.
He chaired the BSI Knowledge Management Standards Committee, and he is a member of the ISO International Standards workgroups for Knowledge Management, Innovation Management and Asset Management. He lectures on the Global Knowledge Economy, and he teaches Knowledge Asset Management at leading Universities. He has consulted to the United Nations, World Bank, European Commission, and the inter-governmental Asian Productivity Organisation.

Outside of business
Ron is a passionate private pilot, musician, and is a yoga and meditation practitioner / teacher for many years. He is a global traveller.
He has strong research interests in how the ancient wisdom and modern sciences, especially quantum mechanics, neuroscience, bioscience, artificial intelligence and computer science, are becoming more understandable within possible new paradigms for deeper knowledge and consciousness.
